God shows us love. Period. In more ways than we can imagine.
When being in a relationship with someone, at the beginning you start to test out different ways to love that person. You want to show them that you love them in every way you can.
This past school year in my small group, my leader had us all take the love language test to show our sisters love throughout that week.
It was great to learn how to love one someone with different love languages. And between Ben and I, it showed me what he truly appreciates so I could learn to do that for him.
So if you’re in a relationship, or just bored take this test!! :)
God is love.
So we need to learn how to love like He does.
Regarding Oklahoma, and anywhere else in this world where our fears arise. Psalm 91 comes to mind. When we call upon God, He hears us. He is mighty, powerful, He is Lord over everything. Even if physical hurt arises, He will uplift us spiritually and emotionally when we put our faith and trust in Him. There’s no reason to fear. God is our refuge, our fortress, our cornerstone. Trust in Him. He will protect us, rescue us, answer us, be with us, deliver us and honor us, satisfy us, and redeem us. That is one loving God.
We’ve been so blessed. Only because God has shown us how strong His love is for us. When we started dating, we asked God to use our relationship for His glory. In order to do that He needed to break us, shape us, mold us, challenge us, and continue to do so. So in the midst of this heart and soul renewal that Ben and I are both encountering, we see just how great our Lord is. We can’t depend on each other, nor ourselves… In order to love completely and follow Christ, we must depend on His love and His truth. We are learning how to do this, and it’s a hard thing to focus on when you’re in love…but the most joyous satisfaction will come of it only because God is that good.
Oh and we had an amazing time on this camping/hiking adventure! :)
Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord ! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills. Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The Lord has spoken!” A voice said, “Shout!” I asked, “What should I shout?” “Shout that people are like the grass. Their beauty fades as quickly as the flowers in a field. The grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the Lord. And so it is with people. The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.” —Isaiah 40:3-8
Here are our opinions on how women should dress, and how it’s more than a surface issue.
Most of us live in a society where ‘fashion’ is a way to find status, worth, and value. Whatever the new trends are, we want to try, but in the middle of focusing on these things we devalue our own bodies, and forget about the temptation we arise to our brothers in Christ.
I’m going to be blunt and straight-forward, because I feel so strongly on this topic. My personal opinion: yoga pants, spandex, v-neck shirts, crop tops, Victoria’s Secret, leggings, booty shorts, etc. are not necessarily appropriate to wear if you want to glorify God. (Romans 14:22) If you want to wear those things in private because it is comfortable, that’s fine, just don’t wear them in a setting that can cause people to stumble.
Anonymous asked: I have liked my prayer "partner" for a long time, but recently they admitted a problem to me that is hard for me to look past. How can I help them?
Yea, that is a tough situation. Relationship, especially one defined by prayer is something that satan will try and ruin. Be praying for humility and love so that satan won’t be able to tempt you with self-righteous and judgement. I would encourage you to even explain your concern to your prayer partner so together you can learn to love as Christ loved- unconditionally. God honoring relationship is founded on humility, selflessness, and honesty. Humans see the flesh, but God sees deeper. Ask Him for that kind of wisdom, love, and understanding.
We’re praying that God can be glorified through this and that you and your prayer partner can grow even closer in Godly fellowship.
God bless!

The context of this verse is about Paul expressing how he has learned to be content with whatever situation he is in, because God gives him strength.
To me this verse speaks so loudly and so clear. I ran across it a few months ago, and it hit me. This is what I need to remember, this is what I need to hold onto, this is how God gives me hope.
I am physically weak. I am not where I’d hope to be. I cannot perform at my best level because I am limited with a medical condition. However, after 5 years of having this illness, God has given me more hope that I could ever imagine.
He is my strength. When I grow weary, I find my rest in Him. He carries my burdens, lifts me up, lets me soar on wings like eagles. No matter how physically weak I am, physical is nothing compared to spiritual. And my spiritual strength depends on how much I rely on my Father.
I can only move, with Him by my side and in my heart. His Spirit leads me, enlightens me, and gives me gifts to further His Kingdom.
Therefore, I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength.
I do not have strength on my own. I cannot do anything apart from my Fortress, Savior, King.
Remember the strength you have right now, remember who gave it to you.
